Community Day

We had a fantastic day with the community of Todos Santos, Guatemala recently. From little kids up to senior citizens, “Community Day” is an excellent venue to interact with people through games, story telling and art.

It provides an opportunity to passively deliver the message of caring responsibly for their animals and understand that rabies transmitted by dogs is a serious, but preventable, disease in their area.

Games and art is one of our favorite ways to develop solid and long lasting relationships and trust with community members. Although we cannot easily communicate with some of them, since mam is their first language, activities like coloring and soccer allow us to communicate through non-verbal means.
